The Supporting People Project

The Sahir Supporting People project was started 1st April 2007. The project aims to supporting people living with and affected by HIV in the Wirral and Liverpool. Some HIV positive people need support to be able to live and stay independently in their home.

The Sahir House Supporting People Service is intended for People living with HIV who need help in establishing independent living. This may include advice, employment, education, managing money, tenancy and support to monitoring of health. The project works in partnership with other organisations and support services with the aim to

  • Preventing problems that can cause homelessness.
  • Supporting people to live as independently as possible.
  • Work with each service user to develop a tailored individual support plan.
  • Involve service users/clients to be involved in the three monthly support plan review

The project is funded by the Wirral, Sefton, St.Helens, Knowsley and Liverpool Supporting People Services.
